Machining
Metal Machining Services
Machining Capabilities
- Thread Cutting: Cutting threads is essential for secure mechanical assemblies. We have thread cutting equipment that significantly reduces both processing and changeover time.
- Countersinks & Counterbores: Proper hole preparation ensures your fasteners sit correctly and perform reliably. We create conical countersink recesses that allow screws to sit flush with your part surface, and cylindrical counterbore recesses designed to accommodate bolt heads or washers. These operations ensure secure fits and clean finishes in your final assembly.
- Insert Installation: We install various insert types with accurate positioning, creating strong connection points for assemblies.
- Laser Etching: Part identification and traceability matter in regulated industries. Our laser etching capabilities mark parts with serial numbers, part codes, logos, or compliance information with permanent, high-contrast marks that remain legible throughout the product lifecycle.
- Reaming: Our fiber laser cutter can achieve hole sizes within our ±.001" cut tolerance. We are able to achieve hole size tolerances of ±.0005" through our reaming services.
- Assembly: We can handle sub-assembly or final assembly in-house, on a project-by-project basis.

Why Choose Ward's Machining Services
U.S. Manufacturing You Can Trust
Every part we machine is produced right here in Warren, Rhode Island. Made in the USA manufacturing means consistent quality, reliable lead times, and direct communication with the people actually making your parts.
No Minimum Order Requirements
Whether you need a single prototype or a high-volume production run, we're here to help. Our flexible approach means you're not forced to order more than you need or wait until you have enough volume to interest larger shops.
Fast Turnaround
We know you're working against deadlines. Our streamlined processes and in-house capabilities mean we can move quickly from quote to delivery without the delays that come from outsourcing operations or navigating large company bureaucracy.
Precision Meets Partnership
We're not just processing parts. We're working alongside engineers and production managers who need a reliable manufacturing partner. Our team takes time to understand your requirements, suggest improvements when we see opportunities, and deliver parts that meet your specifications the first time.
Integrated Metal Fabrication Services
When your project requires multiple operations, we coordinate fiber laser cutting, CNC press brake bending, machining, and finishing services under one roof. This integrated approach eliminates coordination headaches, reduces lead times, and ensures consistent quality across all operations.
Our 3kW Fiber Laser handles sheet metal cutting for mild steel up to 3/4″, stainless steel up to 3/8″, aluminum up to 5/16″, and brass, copper, titanium, and nickel up to 3/16″.
Our 190-Ton CNC Press Brake produces precise bends on parts up to 10 feet long and up to ¼” thick, with thicker metal bending available by request for specialized applications.
Combined with our machining services, these capabilities mean you can consolidate suppliers and work with one manufacturing partner from initial concept through finished product.
