MACHINING SERVICES

THREAD CUTTING

Thread cutting creates helical grooves on a cylindrical or conical surface, enabling parts to screw together securely. Machinists use taps, dies, or CNC tools to produce internal or external threads with precision, crucial for fasteners and mechanical assemblies. CNC-controlled thread cutting ensures repeatability and compatibility.

INSERTS

Inserts, such as threaded or press-fit varieties, strengthen connections in softer metals or composites. Machinists precisely machine holes for inserts, ensuring a tight fit and reliable performance. Light assembly often accompanies machining, where components are partially assembled, such as fitting inserts or attaching basic hardware, streamlining the final assembly process.

COUNTERSINKS & COUNTERBORES

Countersinks and counterbores prepare holes for screws, bolts, or rivets. A countersink creates a conical recess, allowing fasteners to sit flush with the surface. Counterbores, on the other hand, produce a cylindrical recess for accommodating bolt heads or washers. These processes ensure secure fits.

GLASS BEAD BLASTING

Glass bead blasting cleans and textures surfaces by directing abrasive material at high speed. It removes rust, scale, or coatings and creates a uniform finish. This process also enhances adhesion for paint or powder coatings, improving the durability and aesthetics of the final product.

LASER ETCHING

The fiber laser can create precise markings or designs on metal surfaces. This technique is ideal for adding logos, serial numbers, or detailed patterns without compromising structural integrity. Laser etching is highly accurate and permanent, offering superior durability compared to traditional marking methods.

VIBRATORY TUMBLING

Vibratory tumbling deburrs, polishes, and smooths metal parts by rotating them in a drum with abrasive media. It eliminates sharp edges, smooths imperfections, and enhances surface quality, making parts safer to handle and visually refined.
