This quarter marked two important milestones for Ward’s Manufacturing. January 15th was our one year anniversary of becoming operational and March 27th was the one year anniversary of our official launch party.
One Year Anniversary of our Launch Party
One year ago, we hosted our launch party with over 100 guests, including Senator Jack Reed, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Congressman Gabe Amo, Governor Dan McKee, representatives from the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association (RIMA), Polaris MEP, Commerce RI, state and local government officials, friends, and family.
One year later, many of those attendees have become our customers, suppliers, supporters, and friends.
Certified Women Business Enterprise (WBE)
We are excited to announce that Ward’s Manufacturing is a certified Women Business Enterprise (WBE). This certification helps our customers achieve their supplier diversity goals and enhances their bids for new business. Only 2% of manufacturing businesses in the US are owned by women, and we are proud to be among them.
Growth
This quarter we expanded the industries we serve to include;
- Aerospace
- Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs)
- Lighting
- Jewelry
- Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
Each month we continue to grow in revenue, order size, and number of customers served.
Success Stories
- A customer’s trusted vendor of 30 years went out of business, leaving our customer unsure of where to source their parts. Ward’s Manufacturing was there to provide excellent service and short lead times, enabling a seamless transition for the customer’s supply chain.
- A customer who sourced their metal parts from China needed to quickly pivot to sourcing within the United States. Ward’s Manufacturing helped them adjust their designs to reduce cost by 32%, enabling the company to source locally from Ward’s Manufacturing.
- An over-capacity metal fabricator risked losing their biggest customer because their lead times were too long. Ward’s Manufacturing stepped in and delivered the parts weeks before the deadline, enabling the metal fabricator to beat their customer’s deadline and earn additional orders.

Meet Mavis
Mavis is a therapy dog at Composure Self Care, an award-winning sports massage therapy business. In her spare time, she volunteers as a shop dog for Ward’s Manufacturing. Here she has perfected her puppy eyes and is moments from being rewarded with a treat.
